I have been watching the season two of madmen and it has made me realize that I should of been born a long time ago. The style of the late 50's and early 60's suits me. I just love vintage handbags. I have been collecting them since I was 15. I have a decent collection but I always want more. What collection is ever complete right. These bags are all very cute and very affordable. I had such a hard time not buying all of them. Soon I will have to add some of these wonders to my collection because they are sooooo cute.

Tea Time

Oh my goodness this little tea set is sweet. This set is totally customisable and you can order it to you liking. I love it when sellers let you know this. Today was such a nasty day. The weather was so rainy and the sky so grey. It was just one of those days where it is hard to motivate and you just seem to be so sleepy. I usually love this weather and welcome the rain. I guess it just hit me differently today. I thought why not sit back and have some warm tea. It has been so long since I have had a cup of tea. I find it so relaxing and plus the caffeine gives you a boost. As I was sipping on my hot creamy tea I thought how nice it would be if I had a pretty little tea cup. So of coarse I got on the computer and began to hunt.. you know just to price something for a future purchase and then it came to me. I should do today as a tea day. You know they say ( i am not sure who they are) you need to take time to smell the flowers I think every now and then I need to take time to enjoy the tea. I don't know why but it always seems I can find a quite place to enjoy my tea. Like the kids just know and seem to find something to do. It is quite nice.

Lately I have been seeing the dandelion trend everywhere from home decor to clothing. This little bag is sooo trendy and cute. I found this in Shakuyaku's etsy store.

I have been more drawn to dandelions lately. They take me back to being a kid. When I would run though my yard blowing wishes as my dad begged me to stop telling me they were weeds. Even as an adult I can't resist to see if I can blow all the seeds off with one blow. I don't care that more are going to sprout like my parents did that only means there will be more fun later. I love that my three year old gets so excited when she finds one. It is like she unearthed some treasure chest. Mommy mommy look I found a wishy. Maybe that is why I have a new found love for these little weeds.

I didn't have a direct theme today but was feeling quite girlie. Today should of been a dress day however I am in jeans. The weather is nice and I am dying to get out this weekend and soak some of it up. I will do the whole dress thing this weekend and perhaps I will even take the family out for a bright picnic. That is one of their favorite things to do and I love it because it is pretty much free and we get out side. I encourage all of you to get out and enjoy the beauty that the world has to offer maybe take a walk or a picnic. Just enjoy it while it's here.

Today I have been feeling a little lost and that reminded me about the wonderful tale of Alice and Wonderland. How Alice got lost and was trying to find her way out or around Wonderland. Like Alice I look for excitement and sometimes and it gets me into trouble and then all I want to do is find my way back. Today as I did my search to find treasures to feature on today's post I found out that they are coming out with a Alice and wonderland movie. I am sure everyone but me know this (I am usually the last to know these things) but I am super excited and disappointed at the same time. I am excited because I love the story and as a little girl I loved watching over and over the cartoon movie. I am disappointed also because I love the story and so many times Hollywood has messed with a good thing and messed it up. Do you remember Charlie and the chocolate factory. Lets keep our fingers crossed and wait.

Project Vacation----The wet lands

I am having the most wonderful time on vacation. Right now I am in Louisiana visiting my older brother. He took us sight seeing to the swamp and I never picture the swamps as being pretty. I have always thought of them as being smelly, wet, infested with bugs and all around not a place I would want to be. Boy was I wrong. This has got to be be one of the prettiest places I have been. There wasn't a nasty smell and the scenery was absolutely breath taking. The Cyprus trees shoot up from the moss covered water. There are flowers I had never seen, even a book and the birds are of all different kinds. There are giant spiders that even I was kind of scared to photgraph because I thought they might jump on me. We were lucky enough to arrive around sunset and that was a breathtaking event. I hope everyone enjoys the pictures as much as I have enjoyed taking them. This experience has changed my opinion of the wet lands and Louisiana as whole. This state is truly beautiful and a place that should top the list of places to visit. We are here for one more day and I am going to try and take in as much of this state as I can.

I just love shopping handmade it is the best way to find unique stuff. I am tired of wearing or using an item that has been mass produced. I like to stand out and be different well sometimes right.
